Recent changes to the Moodle Dashboard limits your ability to customize the positioning of courses in the Course Overview queue. The directions that follow make it possible to revert to the legacy version of the Course Overview block on your Moodle Dashboard.

Note: The default dashboard view shows courses under the "Present" tab on the start date of the course, "Future" tab for courses which have yet to start (the start date is in the future), and "Past" tab on the last day of classes. The E-Learning Team may make changes to these dates based on feedback. Instructors can also alter the dates to cause courses to move from "Future" to "Present". Using the legacy version of the course overview block allows you to show ALL courses regardless of when they occur during the academic year.

  1. In the upper right corner of your Moodle Dashboard, click “Customize this page."

    Click "Customize this page"

  2. Scroll down to the end of the red blocks at left and in the "Add a block" drop-down menu, select “Course overview (legacy)”

Select "Course overview (legacy)" in Add a block.

  3. Moodle will automatically create the new Course overview (legacy) block at the bottom of the blocks. Click the "move" arrows in the block.

  4. Dotted boxes will open on the page. Click the dotted rectangle above the current Course Overview block to move the legacy block into the middle of the dashboard. Once it moves, click "Stop customizing this page" in the upper right corner.
