Discussion forums are the most accessible tool we have in Moodle to create collaborative learning activities. However, many instructors limit their use of the discussion board to a simple "discussion question" where students are asked to respond or share an idea about something that was discussed in class. While this is an excellent tool for collaborative learning, there are numerous other activities that students can also engage in using the discussion board.
