When setting up an Augsburg owned cellphone phone for staff use (typically DPS) with Augnet accounts certain additional settings (Android Search and Assistant) need to be activated in their Google Account. These can be activated for a user by simply adding them to the Android Search and Assistant Access Group in Google Groups.

• Visit the group https://groups.google.com/a/augsburg.edu/forum/#!forum/androidsearchandassistantaccessgroup
• Manage Members
• Direct Add Members
• Type user's email address, brief message saying "We've added you to this Google Group so that you can use your new Augsburg-Owned Android Phone with your Augnet account. No further action is required on your part"
• Once the user is a part of this group they will be able to use their Augnet credentials in the Android phone setup.
