Posted by Nathan Lind on 22 April 2019 04:47 PM

Google Assignment LTI (Learning Technology Interoperability), formerly known as Google Course Kit, is a free tool that allows instructors to create and collect assignments via Google Docs/Drive, give feedback to students using Google Docs commenting, and send grades to the Moodle gradebook.

New features with updated Google Assignment:

  • New – check for originality. Generate originality reports on student work to help you check and confirm citations. *optional - instructors would need to activate this feature and students can opt in (or not)
  • Automatic permissions management. Assignments adjusts Doc permissions to prevent student access during grading. *quick turnaround for grading may be desired
  • Comment bank. Save frequently used feedback, then pull it up from your bank with just a few keystrokes.
  • New – apply rubrics. Keep grading transparent with rubrics, which display alongside student work. (not integrated with Moodle rubrics)
  • Autosave. Drive saves all your changes so you don’t need to worry about losing work.
