Posted by Bonnie Tensen on 08 September 2015 11:56 AM

Whether you are assigning number grades or simply tallying participation in your Moodle forums, there may be times when you want to view all of the posts (responses and replies) submitted by a specific student to a particular Moodle Forum. The following shows how to quickly call up a complete report of a student's activity in a Forum.

  1. Click on the Forum to open it, and in the upper right corner, click the green "Search forums" button.

Open Forum and click "Search forums"

  2. In the advanced search window that opens, scroll down and select the title of the forum from the drop down menu nest to "Choose which forums to search" and enter the name of the student in the window next to "This name should match the author." Then click "Search forums."

Select the forum and enter student name

  3. If you want to restrict your search to posts entered prior to an assigned deadline, check the box next to "Posts must be newer than this" and enter a time immediately after your deadline.

check "Posts must be newer than this" and enter time immediately following deadline

  4. You will see all of the posts made by that student on one page.

Complete report displays all student work
