What are the differences between Augsburg-Guest and Augsburg network?

Augsburg offers two wireless networks for students.  Each network has different benefits, so you might use each at different times. Use the table below to help you decide which network you want to use.

 
Network Name Augsburg
 Augsburg-Guest
What you can do while connected: All programs can use the internet.

Campus printer connections will work.		 You can use web-based email.

Other email programs may be able to check mail, but not send.

Web browsers can view both regular and secure pages.

Other programs (e-mail clients, IM programs, etc) cannot use the internet.

Campus printer connections will not work.
Requirements:
You must sign into the network with your AugNet username and password.You must also have SafeConnect installed You must sign into the network with your AugNet username and password.
Security:
Wireless security enabled. No wireless security enabled.
